Colne House Charity Fundraising for Comic  Relief

This week Colne House have been running their charity fundraising event – Guess how many Easter eggs are in the jar

Congratulations to Ifsath who correctly guessed that there were 77 eggs in the jar and won the jar of eggs and a Comic Relief red nose!

Colne raised a fantastic £30 for Comic Relief, their chosen charity. Well done!

Fundraising for the Royal British Legion

A huge thank you to all our children and families for supporting our fundraising for the Royal British Legion, where we sold poppies and other Remembrance Day items. We raised an incredible £352.57!

Bracelet Sale for the Dogs Trust

Aurora, Daria, Alice, Jess and Lillian made over 60 bracelets to raise money for the Dogs Trust.

Today I was delighted to present them with a certificate each, in recognition of the £29.21 they raised for the Dogs Trust. Well done!

Charity Plant Sale

Very many congratulations to Jasmine in Year 6, who sold tomato and squash plants that she had grown herself at home, at the end of Sports Day on Monday.

Jasmine raised £115 for CW Wildlife Rescue, a charity that we fundraised for in the Autumn Term. Well done, Jasmine!

Cancer Research Fundraising

Thank you to all those children who supported Sara (Year 5) and Isabella (Year 6), by buying one of their wonderful handmade bookmarks and bracelets.

Sara and Isabella have raised an incredible £105 for Cancer Research, a charity that is very close to the hearts of a number of Shepherd families.

Today I presented Sara and Isabella with very special certificates and a big cheque for the money they raised, to congratulate them on their fundraising.

Ukraine Charity Cake Sale

THANK YOU so much to all the wonderful families who made cakes for our cake sale, as well as The Kitchen Croxley Ltd who donated delicious cupcakes and Mrs Foad's Dad who so kindly decorated beautiful cupcakes for us as well!

We were truly overwhelmed by your creativity and your generosity - I am absolutely thrilled to tell you that we raised an incredible £520 - this has been match funded by a local company, so the total doubled to £1040!

We have been quick to pay this donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal so the government should match this donation, meaning that our total donation to Ukraine is an incredible £2080!

Wildlife Rescue Fundraising Day

Wildlife Rescue came and visited us at Shepherd with several of the animals they have rescued, including a fox cub and an owl. The children absolutely loved seeing the beautiful animals.

Wildlife Rescue is a lovely local charity, and several members of our school community volunteer at Wildlife Rescue, helping to take care of all the animals.

As so many children were enthralled by the animals, we decided to follow up with a fundraising day for Wildlife Rescue – children were invited to come to school dressed as an animal and were asked to make a monetary donation to the charity, or to donate one of the items that Wildlife Rescue need. As well as collecting lots of donations, we have also raised over £270 for Wildlife Rescue.
