House Captains
As every child enters Shepherd Primary School, they are assigned to one of our four Houses which are named after local rivers: Chess, Colne, Gade and Ver.
Working together in houses allows children to work alongside other children from across the year groups and encourages a supportive and cohesive community.
Each house works together to collect house points throughout the year by taking part in school initiatives, behaving well, being responsible, demonstrating positive attitudes and working hard. The house accumulating the most points at the end of the year are rewarded with a special treat.
The houses organise fundraising events for their chosen charities and take part in various inter-house challenges throughout the year and compete as teams on our annual sports day.
Twenty-six of our Year 6 children each pitched to be a House Captain, to all the children in their House. The children and staff then all voted for who they thought would be a superb House Captain!
Mrs Foad had the honour of presenting our new House Captains with their badges and certificates.
Congratulations to:
- CHESS: Jack and Erin
- COLNE: Luca and Alexa
- GADE: Joshua and Bella D
- VER: Lola and Elando
